our last day in st emilion (pictured above) was a bit rainy and dreary, but a perfect way to enforce relaxation after a whirlwind of winery visits. mitch and i dropped dave and shana off at libourne train station and drove back to madrid on sunday. we stopped in a small beach town near san sebastian for lunch and arrived back in madrid in time for dinner! madrid has changed in the two weeks since we have left. spring is here; trees are full of leaves, sidewalk cafes are buzzing and i can finally stop wearing boots every day!Sunday, April 12, 2009
