Local Market

Across from our new flat is an unbelievably cool market with a couple dozen different vendors selling it all: every fish you can imagine, whole free range chickens, every kind of beef, veggies, fruits and herbs. They close down mid afternoon for siesta so we need to catch it at the right times. Today I (Mitch) successfully negotiated the purchase of all the ingredients and tonight I will try to cook my first ever whole roasted chicken. Wish me luck. (Of course April will be there for back up if I screw anything up!). I'm stealing the recipe that Fabio used on Top Chef (Bravo recipe finder). We'll pair it with a local vino tinto from Rioja. Tomorrow morning we rent a car and drive to Rioja. More on that soon...
