Birthday Triumph

for my birthday we took the high-speed train to Barcelona for a long weekend. the high speed train is so easy and fast. brand new trains, cool station, very little security and a free movie. in less than 2.5 hours we were right in downtown barcelona. most of spain's bigger cities are connected to the high speed rail. the weather in barcelona was goregous and we explored a lot of the city. saw the gaudi buildings, went to the contemporary art museum, checked out the beach area, and of course ate terrific food and drank some delicious cavas and vino tintos. the photo is of barcelona's own arc de triumph.
